About Gallery Hours
On Saturdays throughout each season, Mono Space presents a program for curious listeners and readers alike. Guests are welcomed into the gallery to experience the OJAS sound system, gift shop, and library from 11am to 5pm. Each Gallery Hours is centered around a thematic set of recordings curated by special guests. This program is free and open to the public. View FAQ for more information.
About Alex Newman
Alex Newman grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, in a home filled with records. After studying jazz in Seattle’s celebrated Washington Middle and Garfield High School programs, he became active in Los Angeles’s underground hip-hop scene as a producer, MC, and DJ. Now based in Portland, Oregon, Alex hosts “The New Format” on KMHD, weekdays from 11am to 1pm.
