Mono Space presents Gallery Hours, curated by Anthony Dean-Harris. A rotating selection of recordings curated by Anthony will play throughout the day on the OJAS sound system, shaping the gallery’s atmosphere.
This session steps beyond strict categories to explore a collection of formative records that have shaped a listening sensibility over time. Selections move freely across eras and styles, guided by intensity, contrast, and commitment rather than compartmentalization.
About Anthony Dean-Harris
Anthony Dean-Harris is a writer, text-based visual artist, curator, former spa manager & bartender and host of A Smooth Ride weekdays from 2pm-4pm PST on KMHD. He is a contributor to DownBeat Magazine and is the former editor of the jazz blog, Nextbop. He reluctantly grew into being proudly from San Antonio, Texas.
The Listening Experience
Gallery Hours are free and open to the public. Held on Saturdays from 12 to 5 pm, they offer an open way to experience Mono Space and the OJAS high fidelity sound system. Guests are welcome to arrive at any point to spend time with the system, browse the library and gift shop, grab some tea, and listen to a rotating selection of curated recordings, seated or moving through the space as they like.
