About
Drew Brown is a DJ, music curator, and the founder of Passenger Seat Records, a boutique vinyl shop located in Portland’s Alberta Arts District. His work—both in the booth and behind the counter—is guided by a selector’s mindset, rooted in intentionality, flow, and connection. At Passenger Seat Records, Drew curates a thoughtful selection of global and underground music, handpicked to foster discovery, open listening, and a sense of community. The shop serves as a reflection of his broader vision: creating space for sound, culture, and curiosity to come together. Through his DJ sets and the store’s offerings, Drew invites listeners into a world of music that is deep, dynamic, and globally informed.
The Listening Experience
Gallery Hours are free and open to the public. Held on Saturdays from 12 to 5 pm, they offer an open way to experience Mono Space and the OJAS high fidelity sound system. Guests are welcome to arrive at any point to spend time with the system, browse the library and gift shop, grab some tea, and listen to a rotating selection of curated recordings, seated or moving through the space as they like. Gallery Hours are held as a quiet, shared listening environment. Details about visiting the space can be found in the FAQs.
