Mono Space presents Gallery Hours curated by Rob Lewis. Lewis has built a practice at the intersection of music, sport, design, and Black cultural expression, moving between commercial projects and tactile work in collage, print, and textiles.
For Gallery Hours, Lewis brings that cross-disciplinary perspective to sound. His selections approach sequencing as a form of storytelling, tracing connections between records, images, places, and cultural memory while creating space for discovery. The afternoon reflects the same attention to context, craft, and collaboration that runs through his visual work.
The Listening Experience
Gallery Hours are free and open to the public, and offer an open way to experience Mono Space and the OJAS high fidelity sound system. The program lasts from Noon - 5PM, with doors opening at Noon. Guests are welcome to arrive at any point to spend time with the system, browse the library and gift shop, purchase beverages, and listen to a rotating selection of curated recordings. Seating is on a first-come, first serve basis. If we reach capacity, a line will form, and guests will be admitted on a one-out, one-in basis.
Minimal photography is encouraged. Guests are welcome to capture a moment, but are asked to keep photography unobtrusive. This is a scroll-free space—please step outside for phone use.
Guests are asked to speak softly and keep conversation to a minimum.
