Presented by Mono Space, this Gallery Hours session explores the innovative sounds of the Chicago-born record label International Anthem. While rooted in the underground jazz community that defined the label in the early 2010s, International Anthem’s catalog has expanded to encompass ambient, neo-classical, improvisational live recordings, and genre-defying forms of creative music. Featuring artists such as Jeff Parker, Makaya McCraven, SML, Alabaster DePlume, Jeremiah Chiu, and more, listeners can expect a diverse journey through the label that has simultaneous redefined Jazz and attracted new audiences to the music.

The Listening Experience
Gallery Hours are free and open to the public. Held on Saturdays from 12 to 5 pm, they offer an open way to experience Mono Space and the OJAS high fidelity sound system. Guests are welcome to arrive at any point to spend time with the system, browse the library and gift shop, grab some tea, and listen to a rotating selection of curated recordings, seated or moving through the space as they like. Gallery Hours are held as a quiet, shared listening environment. Details about visiting the space can be found in the FAQs.
