Nicholas Jaar’s music is built for close listening: patient, physical, and precise. Since Space Is Only Noise, Jaar has approached electronic composition as atmosphere and architecture, working as Nicholas Jaar and across projects including Against All Logic and Darkside. The work moves through ambient drift, house pressure, jazz touch, noise abrasion, and occasional reggaeton swing, stitched together with field recordings, acoustic and nontraditional instruments, and meticulous sound design.

This session moves through a wide selection of Jaar’s catalog, heard on the OJAS system. Expect a focus on texture, space, and dynamic range, featuring records that reward attention, and keep opening up as the room gets quiet.
