Mono Space presents an Album Listening Session with Scott Frank, diving into The Spirit of Eden by Talk Talk. As one of the group’s final two albums, it stands as a work of remarkable originality and influence, while offering some of the finest recording quality of its era.
The collaboration between the band, producer Tim Friese-Greene, and engineer Phil Brown resulted in something rare: a record that feels as though it’s unfolding inside your own head. Its emotional depth and organic sound create a listening experience that’s intimate, immersive, and quietly transporting. This session offers a rare chance to hear the album as it was meant to be heard, in full and in detail.

The Listening Experience
Album Listening Sessions offer a dedicated setting to hear a record in its entirety through the OJAS high fidelity sound system. Up to 50 guests gather in a shared setting to experience a full album together, introduced and closed by a presenter who offers context and reflections around the music. Sessions last 60 to 90 minutes, with 30 minutes of open listening afterward. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. The room is arranged for focused, shared listening as the record plays. Details about visiting the space can be found in the FAQs.
