On Saturday, December 6th, Mono Space presented Gallery Hours as curated by Alex Newman. The host of KMHD’s “The New Format” program shared a selection of records representing some of the most exciting contemporary artists pushing the boundaries and possibilities of jazz music.
“Ever since I started hosting a show on KMHD, friends, family, and listeners have been asking me what I’m into lately. It’s never an easy answer; there’s just too much good music out there. Still, when I think about the past few years, these albums stand out. They’re thoughtful, deeply intentional, and full of heart. Taken together, they reflect what inspires me about music right now and where I see it going.”
